Urgent Care Walk-In Service
Walk-in appointments
Patients do not have to be registered to see a clinician at Summerfield Urgent Treatment Centre. The service is available on a walk-in basis or call 0300 247 0066 for more information.
We can help people with busy lifestyles who need access to flexible and convenient health services and may have difficulty accessing a convenient appointment at their registered practice.
We can also help patients who may not be registered with a GP practice who might normally attend Accident and Emergency (A&E) for treatment which could be provided by a GP or nurse.
We are an urgent treatment centre and will not be able to prescribe a patient’s repeat medication unless it is an emergency. Patient must have proof of their current medication either by bringing in the old box with their name and dated within the last 3 months or their repeat prescription slip. Medical letter from overseas is not proof of medication and patients will be advised to register with a GP to obtain regular repeat prescription whilst staying in the UK.
Dental emergencies will not be treated at the Urgent Treatment Centre. There are dental emergency services available via the NHS 111 service. Simply dial 111 and select dental option.
Visitors to Birmingham
